Privacy Policy

Provio (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a reputation-analysis tool for businesses, built and operated in New Zealand. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Provio, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

• Account information — your email address, collected when you sign up with an email and password.
• Business information — the business name and Google Place ID you provide during onboarding, so we can look up your business and calculate a reputation score for it.
• Review data — reviews for your business imported from Google and TripAdvisor, including reviewer names, ratings, review text, dates, and any existing owner replies.

We don't collect information from your customers directly — review data comes from what's already publicly listed on Google and TripAdvisor, imported by you into Provio.

• To calculate your reputation score and show it on your dashboard.
• To generate plain-English AI insights about what your reviews say.
• To draft suggested replies to reviews, for you to review, edit and post yourself.
• To send you account-related emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password resets.

We use a small number of service providers to run Provio. We don't sell your data, and each provider only sees what it needs to do its job:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles sign-in and account authentication. Your account details, business information and review data are stored here.
• Vercel — hosts the Provio application itself.
• Resend — sends transactional emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password reset links.
• Anthropic— processes the review text you've imported, in order to generate AI insights and draft reply suggestions. Review text is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose.

Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at palasi.makahununiu1@gmail.comand we'll action it within a reasonable time.

Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it if it's wrong.
• Ask us to delete your account and associated data.

We rely on Supabase's authentication and database infrastructure to store your data, and take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

We may update this policy as Provio changes. We'll update the “last updated” date above whenever we do.
